How to get fit for summer?

How much should I exercise to get significantly more fit by Summer 2010?

    Well I'm glad you are starting now. For now I'd try to simply run. Try jogging about 3-4 times per week for 20-30 minutes a piece. Once that becomes easy, try some simple weight exercises. Given that you do not want to bulk up, do not spend more than 30 minutes lifting weights. I would try curling 10lbs dumbbells 40 times in 10 rep intervals (4 sets of 10). Air squat and lunge a bit as well with 15lbs dumbbells or without weight. Do the weight training 2 times per week. With a proper diet, you should be toned and ready for the beach by May 1st.
