How can I lower my heart rate?

How can i lower my heart rate by 20 bpm?

  • Im an 18 yr old male, quite a good build, not fat at all, i work out quite alot but i only do weights. However my resting heart rate is qute high for my age (80 bpm). So my question is, how can i lower my heart rate by about 20 bpm so it goes down the a healthy level (60 bpm) without losing any muscle mass. I eat quite healthly too, i.e. i eat loads of veg and fruit. and i only drink water unless im going for a night out. What are good exersizes to lower your heart rate? Thanks for the help

  • Answer:

A normal heart rate for an adult is 60-100, so 80 is normal. But to lower your heart rate you need to make is stronger by doing some cardio which you ought to be doing a balance of weights and cardio anyway.

Walk, Walk, Walk, Cadiac patients are told to walk and get aerobic exercise to lower blood pressure and heart rate. If you start walking 1-3 miles a day at 3 mph then you will see your resting heart rate go down.
