Gingivitis and braces?

Gingivitis and braces, any helpful mouthwashes or pastes that will help?

• I just got braces 3 weeks ago and my orthodontist informed me that I have gingivitis. I brush 3 times day, floss once, and use a rinse twice a day but my gums are still puffy and sore. I have been using this routine for the past 2 weeks and I am very scared of having cavities. The last time I visited the dentist they said that they saw some possible signs of decay but they didn't do anything. One tooth is feeling sore when I press against it. Is this a cavity or from the gingivitis? BTW- I use ACT mouthwash & colgate.

  There's a mouthwash called Natural Dentist Healthy Gums that my Periodontist gave me when I got work done on my gums.
