Is it hard to become a dentist?

How hard is it to become a dentist?

  • I am in Sec4, Canada>Quebec>Montreal. My grades arent that good but I really like dentists because since I was small my cousins always talked about them (my cousins are dentists) and thats when I decided that I would become a dentist when I grow up. Now that Ive "grown up" I ask them how hard it was they told me it was fairly easy. My grades these year are very important for my admissions in CEGEPS, if no good CEGEP=No good University=NO DENTIST Please tell me how hard it is to become a dentist. Thank you, Jonathan

VERY If you are the kind of person who usually gets an A, you might become a dentist. If you are not, than you are too dumb and lazy to be a dentist. You can't compete with the smarter and more ambitious kids, so you won't even get admitted to dental school. When your cousins talk about being dentists, they are bragging. They know it is something that most people can't do. But, they are so superior it was easy FOR THEM to do

In the United State it takes 8 years and 150k to 250k to get thought dental school. There are 53 Highlands Ranch Dentist and they are all fighting for business. You have to be able to run a business and good with your hands! Some easier carer paths could be a chair side assistant, dental hygienist, or office manager / business associate. The dentist that I see is super funny, was popular in high school and college and his personality attracts many new patient that become friends. He has hired a great staff to do the business part and the hygienists are great. I worked for him a few months before I decided I did not have the hand skills needed to advance in dentistry. Check out his web site at http://www.drtheobald.net/ and good luck to you!

Jonathan I agree with others dentist means long long studies remember a dentist is actually a doctor -kindav- who specializes in teeth. You will work on cadavers for a long time and will need to memorize tons of stuff. Also you will have to pass an exam that is very difficult to be admitted. all of this my dentist told me. also you work under difficult conditions long hours sure you make good money. havent you thought of becoming a dental techniciain - hygiéniste dentaire - it only takes a cegep they make decent money and you are guaranteed a job ........ a rarity in quebec
