What is the process of removing braces and does it hurt?
-
Getting my braces off in 11 days and kinda scared/excited. How exactly do they take braces off? Does it hurt at all (like on a scale of 1-10 1=not @ all 10= thought I was gonna die)?

Answer:
It's really not all that bad. I think what hurt the most is when they were scraping the excess glue off my teeth, but I think I would rate that as a 2. I don't entirely remember the process because I've had my braces off for about 7-8 years now but I can tell you for sure that it does not hurt =)

You should be very excited! The feeling of not having those metallic wires in your mouth is worth a thousand pains....:P On a more serious level, they take the metallic line off first, then they remove the small chips by removing the glue off them with a special light, it is somewhat uncomfortable, so I would rate it as 2 and a half.... It doesn't hurt at all so don't worry.... Good luck with your new smile...
