What is the process of getting braces?

• Ok so im going to my DENTIST to get braces instead of an orathadonist. So i have crowded teeth and my right front tooth sticks out more then my left and on a slight angle. I know i will need bottom ones to. so im wondering after i get the molding of my teeth how long does it usually take to get them on afterwards? how long does it take to get them on? and how much in canada ontario would u say it would cost for bottom and top? Also when you go for the first apppointment to see if u needs braces do they usually do a molding on the same day? thanx so much im really nervous for getting them because i know i need them and WANT them now so i can get them off sooner and dont have to keep having screwy teeth...

  It takes about 15 minutes. Braces probably cost a few thousand dollars for a whole set. I didn't need a molding for my braces because they have different sizes of wire at my orthodontist (I don't know about dentists though) That's about it! BTW why don't you want to go to the orthodontist?
