Do lingual braces work?

My braces don't work!?

  • I have my braces for almost a year. First i had my lower braces, after a month i put upper braces. My lower teeth are straight now, but not as straight as i think that they should be (im not dentist but i see my friends' teeth that also have braces and my teeth cant compare to their's) and my dentist says that they are supposed to be like this and that they will look like that when i take my braces off. My upper teeth have been like this since beginning they havent moved at all! and im very concerned about that. i wouldnt like these years to be waste of time and money. should i change the orthodontist, wait for some results or else..... what should i do?

  • Answer:

Less than a year with braces is considered a short time. If you get them off in under two years, you are very lucky. Be patient!

That's how they should be. The dentist is the expert, definitely trust him! He wouldn't be a dentist if he didn't know. The only thing I'd recommend is to make sure he's a real dentist because my friend had braces on for a few months then found out his dentist wasnt a dentist. He put his braces on wrong so he had to get them off and gets em on in a year or so.
