Tooth extraction and developed 9 days later a swollen tonsil on one side!?

I HAD A TOOTH LOWER MOLAR EXTRACTED AND... 9 DAYS LATER I DEVELOPED A SWOLLEN TONSIL ONLY ON ONE SIDE THE RIGHT SIDE... I WENT TO THE DOC AND HE GAVE ME ANTIBIOTICS BUT IT IS STILL THERE... can somebody tell me what this is and what else would the doc do... i mean he said there is no abcess but i still feel pain in that area not alot though... could it be tonsil stones stuck there.
