Extremely sensitive teeth, what could it be?

I have extremely bad teeth. What do you think the dentist will/can do to fix it when I go?

• So…I have a dentist appointment in about a week. I’m terrified but I really want to go anyway because I know I need it. I just want to know from your experience at the dentists or whatever what you think will happen. I think if I know what might come some of my anxiety will be relieved, hopefully. So here’s my situation. I’ve never had a good experience at the dentist, they always want to perform something on my teeth for whatever reason then say they messed up so they have to do something else to fix it. It happens EVERY time and I’m not joking. I’ve barely gone to the same dentist twice and never had a good experience. I brush my teeth twice, sometimes three times a day and use mouthwash before bed and floss every morning…yet I keep getting bad cavities. I don’t know why I do, I mean I try to keep my teeth clean and cared for but they just keep coming. I haven’t gone to a dentist in years after the last bad experience that resulted in one of my adult teeth being pulled because he messed up during an extremely painful root canal. (No pain killer shot or anything. One dentist put me in a straight jacket because I wouldn’t open my mouth. It was the one who had to pull my teeth…I didn’t want it pulled it didn’t hurt and I didn’t see any problem but all I was doing was keeping my mouth closed. I didn’t say anything or move much or anything, I just slightly shook my head so he pulled out a strait jacket… Needless to say I was terrified but I crossed my arms when he told me to and let him put it on me without a fight or complaining or anything… Was there any need for it!? (Why did he even have one n his office…) I opened my mouth only after he took it off… I’ve been too scared to go back to a dentist since then. I just didn’t want one of my adult teeth pulled because of a stupid mistake he made…) My front teeth have bad cavities and have gotten worse and worse, I can’t wait to go to the dentist to get that fixed but I have no idea what he can/will do to fix them. Most of my teeth have cavities too. One tooth grew in on the inside and is…well I don’t know how to explain it but somehow I feel like it’s going to have to be removed and it’s kind of odd, I don’t think it can be removed with pliers or anything. I don’t know why but I feel like I’ve been super lucky I don’t have problems with that one, I feel like it’s a time bomb waiting to go off or something. I don’t know why but I just do. Besides that there’s the tooth that got removed…he didn’t even do that right, there’s still a tiny piece left and it hurts badly often. The gums in that area get infected sometimes and sometimes it bleeds which makes me very nauseous. I’m very happy I am finally on the insurance and can go to the dentist because I want these problems fixed. I’m very VERY terrified though. So if anyone has any ideas on what the dentist will probably do that might help me get over a little of my anxiety. Thank you very much.
