Retainer hurting my teeth. help.?
-
I recently removed my braces and my dentist gave me some sort of 'plastic' retainer. I dont know what the material is but im just going to assume its plastic. The retainer is transparent and its the type you can remove and insert whenever you want. Every time i wear them my teeth start to hurt..why?

Answer:
They will hurt for a little while until your teeth stop trying to move. I know it hurts! :( [From experience] but I promise you will get used to it. Maybe try painkillers when you put them in to relieve the pain. Just stick at it...it'll be worth it in the long run!! Whatever you do PLEASE don't not wear them, I'd majorly regret it if I didn't wear mine :) Hope they stop hurting soon!!!! xxx
