Is a career in dentistry satisfying?

Pursuing a career in dentistry?

  • I suddenly seemed to take interest in dentistry. I dont know why or how but i want to know more about it. I wanted to know if someone could give me some information on what a university such as kings would require for dentistry? im doing as physics maths and biology as well as ict. I plan to take everything except biology to A2. Would dentistry require biology for an A2? Would i need to do another few years of courses to finally be a qualified dentist? someone please help ive been searching but cant seem to find anything anywhere.

  • Answer:

The short answer to your question is that to know what is required in your area for a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (or equivalent) you need to contact the institution that grants the degree. In the USA, most people obtain an undergraduate degree (four years) which includes certain minimums of math and science, (and high grades) and then apply to a dental school. Once accepted, another four years of study and skill development occurs. During or after formal schooling (and graduation) licensing exams are required. Basically, since you know about "Kings", contact the dental school there and somebody will be happy to explain the process. If it turns out that Kings does not offer dental training, then somebody there can suggest an training school in your area that does.
