• Okay, so before I got braces back in middle and into high school, I never really took good care of my teeth. I do eat a fair amount of acidic foods like soda (mainly dr. pepper like once a day), fruits and other foods. I used to eat white bread a lot, but not so much any more. And I eat candy a lot too, just every couple of days and it's mainly Skittles and Starburst. I don't brush twice and I know I should, and I don't really floss. I'm already pretty prone to cavities, because of a low amount of saliva in my mouth, which I think naturally helps clean it. Lately, I've seen little very tiny holes in my teeth next to my front ones, and white spots near the gum line. My teeth are also extremely sensitive to cold things, even little things like air. I'm thinking about getting my teeth whitened, and I'm just wondering if there was a way to prevent this decalcification, because I've heard that it was a process of a cavity forming. Cavities are expensive, and I HATE getting them filled. I always seem to have them when I get a check up. I seemed to have a lot of what the dentists call pit cavities, and little cavities. What are those?

  Look up the product called Mi paste. It helps teeth become less sensitive, and it removes some of the white spots and mineralized the teeth. You can ask your dentist office if they sell it, or buy it online at ebay. Best of luck :)
