Is decalcification common?

Help, my daughter has decalcification of her teeth.?

  • My 2 year old daughter went to the dentist for the first time today. The dentist noticed decalcification on her top front 4 teeth, they were pretty bad I thought. I always brush her teeth but I think I cold have done a much better job with the front teeth. She doesn't like milk and does drink plenty of juice out of a sippy. Has anyone ever had this issue with there child and what was the result? The dentist said if it turns into cavities that he would just cap her teeth but I would rather not have that done to her. Any advice would help.

  • Answer:

DON'T AUTOMATICALLY TRUST THAT SMARTY PANTS KNOW IT ALL DENTIST! I don't trust most of them. I also think that 2 is GENERALLY too young to go to a dentist, and she could become traumatized.
