Do lingual braces work?

Will a dentist work out some sort of plan with me to remove my braces?

  • I'm going to the dentist this week to have a root canal done. My dentist informed me that my braces are providing "hiding place" for bacteria to grow and they are indeed beginning to cause decay to a number of my molars. They are able to remove the braces at my dentists' office but I have only enough money to get a root canal and a few fillings. 276$ to remove my braces is something I just can not pay right now. Perhaps in month or so when the delicatessen I got a job at opens but not now. So what I really want to know is, do dentists have discretion to allow a patient to pay for that kind of thing later on or over time? I certainly hope so cause as long as my braces are on my teeth are getting worse and I really should not wait any longer.

Waitasecond. Why don't you discuss this with your orthodontist who put you in the braces in the first place?
