Why is my tongue sore?

Why is my tongue sore underneath it?

• Okay, so I've noticed that at least maybe six or seven times within this year (never before) I've woke up with two swollen gland things under my tongue. I don't have a picture so I'll describe what they look like. There's two sides and they're just flat pieces of pink tongue that swell and are sore to the touch. It's only when I wake up that I find these and they leave within an hour or two. It just makes my tongue feel heavy and I wanted to know if it were serious. And last night, I had salad with a new ranch dressing I'd never eaten before. I think it had vinegar in it because it stung upon touching my tongue and ruined the rest of my dinner because my tongue had that sour taste on it. Now this morning, under my tongue, there's these little pieces sort of sticking out. Only one is sore to the touch and they're shaped like strands of hair, but really small. If I rub them, they sort of stick to my finger but won't come off. Please help before I arrange a doctor appointment. Thanks. (=

  Maybe you have a sist under your tongue. My friends saliva gland got clogged and he got a sist and he got surgery for it. they slice the bumps and drain the saliva. maybe this has happened to you?
