I need help with dental insurance! someone please help!?

  • I'm 17, and I live in a home with a single parent. I'm on SSI, and I cannot afford braces, but I need them! I know there has to be some way I can work this out, and I refuse to accept that there isn't a way, so please help me out! It would be greatly appreciated

    You have to ask around. Usually there's some clinics that just specialize in braces. You might get a sketchy doctor so look at their credentials. You can find them on-line, yellow pages, and sometimes penny saver. Some times if you ask dentist they will refer you to an orthodontist. Usually the dentist can tell you who does the best work around your area. You should negotiate with them before anything, and ask if consultation is free (basic talking and evaluating your teeth). In a down economy Orthodontist are more than likely to help you out and give a bargain deal.
