What can I do to make this go away?

• OK, so when I was 5 I had to get a cavity filled, and so they could do the procedure, they numbed my lips. I wasn't used to that feeling, and the whole time it was numb, I chewed on my bottom lip. It was really disgusting, but I wasn't used to the feeling and I tried to make it wake up by doing that. It just tore away at the skin like you would on your outer lips, but the skin didn't grow back normal. When the skin grew back, it left kind of a lump. Now what bothers me is that it is noticeable. You can see the lump there. It doesn't hurt, but it just looks bad. Will I have to go to an oral surgeon to get this removed? Or is there something that can make it go away? P.S. I'm 13 and it still hasn't gone away. I'm very self conscious of it.

  This will never go away and the only thing you can do is to go to a plastic surgeon to get it fixed. A dentist can not fix it. There is nothing medically wrong with you so normal Doctor will not do anything. You will have to go to a plastic surgeon to get it fixed when you are older.
