Is it decalcification?
-
So I am getting my braces off in a month. I have been going to the dentist every couple off months since I got the braces so I could get my teeth cleaned. Both my dentist and orthodontist have commented on how clean my teeth are. I brush my teeth vigorously every night. And yet in the back of my mouth I think I am seeing small amounts of decalcification. It's not super noticeable to the eye at first but when I look closer it looks like I have a small amount of it. I have also been told it might just be the glue. Is it decalcification or glue?

Answer:
It is impossible to tell one way or another based on the information you give. In the end, does it matter, I mean besides for your pride? If it is some of the bonding agent your orthodontist will clean it away easily, if it is decalcification then your dentist may have to deal with it. Hope that helps.
