How long should an eye infection last or take too heal?

How long does it take a jaw infection to heal?

• hi im a 17 year old male if it even matters, and last wednesday i got my wisdom teeth extracted (all four) and up until sunday i was fine but then on sunday i was in horrible pain and the left side of my jaw had like a ping pong ball in it. i went to the dentist this morning and he said that bc one of the extraction sites didnt heal completely i got an infection and he drained all the pus out and stuff, which was nasty. he gave me amoxicillan for the infection and something else for swelling but idk how quick this will heal. for the most part im out of serious pain. but do you think the pus will come back in? and will these anti-biotics work? i just really dont wanna go thru that again, it was horrible do u think im on the road to recovery now?

  I'm 18 and that just happened to me only worse and I ended up in the hospital during Christmas, which was horrible. The swelling from the drainage took a few weeks to go away, and I don't think that the pus will come back because the amoxicillin will help to prevent that.
