Am I allergic to Big Red gum?

Is my gum safe when it's red under a baby tooth?

  • I am concerned about my gum. I cannot tell if I have gum disease or not. Lately it's been bothering me. Underneath the tooth where my gum hurts, my gum is light red. The rest of my gums are pink, barely different. The shade of pink is normal and healthy teeth. Where it's red, the tooth above it is a loose baby tooth. It also has a big cavity with a filling. The filling barely slides around. I have a very minor cavity on a different part of this tooth, too. I hope to lose this tooth before I see my dentist again. The back of my gum hurts when I wiggle it. In fact, the part of my gum under the back of my tooth is what's bothering me. My cavity filling is in the back of the tooth too. Is there a problem with my gum? If so, once I loose the tooth, will there still be a problem? The redness is sort of low in the gum. This tooth is in the back of my mouth. The redness is also only under this tooth, with the exception of the molar behind it (Partially the molar). The molar behind it doesn't hurt though. None of the other symptoms that I've looked at are included.
