How many years of Dental School do you have to take to become a dental hygienist?

I plan on majoring in Biology and getting my masters degree for it then going to dental school, how many years do i have to take of just the dental school after im finished with college?

if you get an AAS of dental hygiene then it will take 2 complete years

It depends on the school. A lot of schools you are in the actually program for 2 years, but then you do have classes to take before you get into the program, so don't expect to be done in 2 years. Typically 3-4 years. Many schools have a 4 year program for dental hygiene now. Other dental hygienists that want to work in sales or education continue with their education to a masters degree.
