Medical /dental assistant program?

Do you know anything about the ROP program specifically the Registered Dental Assistant program?

Well, I'm thinking about going there next year. I want to become a Dentist or maybe a Dental Hygienist. I'm a sophomore in high school so I would take ROP Registered Dental Assisting for 2 years. I was reading the 'career ladder' part of the pamphlet that I received from the ROP RDA Program and it had General Dentist listed under the 4+ years of college and Dental Hygienist under Semi-Professional Career. So, if I go the this for 2 years I will be more prepared to be a dentist or a hygienist? I don't want to be a dental assistant. So my question is, is this just if you want to become a dental assistant? If you know anything about this program, can you tell me more about it? Please. Thank you!

This is just a dental assisting program. You need actual college and schooling to become a dentist. I went through the ROP program and i have been a dental assistant for five years now. I suggest it because you learn so much more about the profession.
