Why are my teeth hurting?

My wisdom teeth are coming in and top left second tooth from the wisdom tooth is hurting and my ear hurts why?

  • My dentist told me that both my wisdom teeth on top will have to be removed because there's no room. The tooth that is currently hurting me needs a root canal done. It hurts to swallow or spit. But my main question is about my ear. Is it a bad sign that my ear is hurtting along with my teeth? What does it mean? Oh and if im getting fever often does it mean i have to go to the hospital?

    It's growing pains from the wisdom teeth trying to push there way out. The question is.. what ear hurts and is it the same side of where your tooth is.. example: right side of tooth and right ear or left tooth and ear. Usually when you get pain somewhere on one side it stays on one side because it's closest to the growing pain. I think there's too much pressure on your wisdom teeth causing you to get a fever and your ear hurting. I would get your wisdom tooth pulled asap otherwise you will continue the pain you have right now. Clinic may not do much, but give you some medicine and tell you whats wrong, which in this case is your wisdom teeth.

wisdom teeth/ear/throat/sinuses are all connected. Everything is in a very small space with lots of nerves running around everywhere. Everything effects everything else. Yes, it is common, especially as mentioned in other answer if it's on the same side. yes infections do happen. Most likely this wisdom tooth has chipped into the tooth next to it and that is the reason for the needed root canal. Bacteria festering in the gums is not good and very well could cause a fever. take lots of garlic and other immune boosting items until this is resolved, which needs to be at a trustworthy dentist office. Preferably one that understands the delicacies with root canals-like a holistic dentist
