Is majoring in Biology difficult?

I'm majoring in biology to become a dentist but I'm starting to get discouraged help please?

• Sorry that this is a bit long but I really need help and advise well its my first year in college and like I said I am majoring in Biology to become a dentist/orthodontist. But I'm beginning to feel a bit discouraged I failed my first biology test (which made me incredibly sad but I didn't realize how truly difficult the test would be, but I'm studying like a maniac for the next one :) ) and I am beginning to feel very discouraged. Like did I choose the right major and stuff or should I just forget about becoming a dentist since I can't even do well on my first biology class?! But I did do well on my chemistry test. I was thinking about switching my major to chemistry but so far all I've taken is basic chemistry (not the real difficult stuff yet so I'm not too sure) So I don't know what to do. I really do want to become a dentist and I know that I will have to take some pre-requisite classes for dental school (like science classes) but should I change my major?! I just can't decide and if I don't have science major will it be harder for me to get into a dental school?

  I am no dentist but I will tell u this..we all fail test! I failed so many test becoming a MA idk how I graduated lol ok on a serious note..I was not the best test taker and I'm still NOT never will b. But when it comes down to it I can do it! I know this wonderful dentist who will tell u to get ur butt in gear. If this is what u want then go and get it! do well in ur subjects and make what u do count! I would tell u the best thing to do is talk to an actual dentist..what about ur own? go to the office invite him or her to lunch for the following day or that day and sit down and talk with them. Don't give up. If this is some thing u wnat then do it! push urself! get what u want in life...I would also think about career as a dental assistant or hygienist. If u need to talk just e-mail me. I have some friends who are a DA and love love love it! idk maybe being a dentist is not for u but then again only u know that..don't give up on ur dreams!
