What is it called when you have a hard bump on your heal?

Dental issues - Small Bump at the bottom of my mouth?

  • I believe I accidentally closed my question, stupid me...so I had a filling in July, 2009. IT was a filling between the two teeth, the bottom right canine and an incisor. The right canine was hurting slghtly since, but it got better little by little. Than, the hypochondriac in me felt it getting a LOT better, played with it and played with it, and around March. 20th, 2010.... I think I had an abscess, but I am honestly not sure. The pain wasnt that bad at all, slight swelling, but it wasnt that painful, and I popped it. (Also, when it popped I didnt get that foul smell or disgusting taste, which is why im confused what it was) I also get no puss leakage or anything like that. Once again, it is the bottom right canine. Now, the problem is I have a small bump on my bottom gums, ill try to describe where it is the best I can... (put your finger on the right canine, now go down. after you touch the pink gums, go to the reddish part. The bump is at the bottom. The way Id suggest you do it is take your tongue on the bottom right canine, and go down to the reddish part. NOW, right where the pink gums end and the red begins go down roughly another centimeter and that is where the bump starts) The bump started....around the size of a grape. Now it is about the size of a smooshed cranberry *The type you would find in whole cranberry sauce* give or take a little. So it has atleast been getting smaller, it definitely isnt getting bigger, which has to be a good thing! Now pain wise, I will use the 1-10 scale. 1 for nothing, 10 for EXTREME pain. If I tap the tooth lightly, a 1. IF I tap it with lots of pressure 3-4 If I bit down, a 2. If I bit down extremely hard, a 2-3. The worst it EVER gets is a 6, and that is rare. Now the gum.... If I rest my jaw on my hand where it is, sometimes I feel nothing, other times, at most, a 2. If I put a little pressure, a 1-2 If I put a lot of pressure on that bump 3-5, at the worse, a 6 again, but honestly, on average, a 4. Nothiing major. Im sleeping normal *As normal as a hypochondriac sleeps, so it isnt interupting my sleep patterns,* I can eat on that tooth too, but I try not too just for the healing process. So now, this is where I am at. I just wanna try to take some natural methods before I just see a dentist and have a root canal. Also, I dont have the fiances for a root canal, and I really don't wanna pull my right bottom canine. So im kind of stuck in limbo here. Ive been taking Cod Liver oil, Fish oil, and gargling with salt & ginger. If anyone can help me out, besides the "see a dentist" answer, that be awesome. I just do not have the fiances to see a dentist right now. 1600 for a RC and crown, I do not have that kind of cash. So, anyone know what home remedies I can do to make this bump go away? Any advice would be awesome, I tried to be descriptive as possible. Also, I know if it isnt gone in a few months, to see a dentist and go from there. I am atleast at the moment trying to save up cash incase I do need a root canal or whatever it is. Once again, I just do not have the fiances at all to go and see a dentist, and im trying to fix my car too, so I cant make long trips either. If the bump isn't getting bigger, and is getting smaller, that has to be good thing, right? Maybe Im just being impatient and need more time to see if it will heal, the bump has only been in my mouth for 2-3 weeks. Well, Im not sure, which is why I am here! Well, thanks for reading and if anyone can help this me out, I would appreciate it greatly! *I also just called in amoxcillian to see if that will help.*

  • Answer:

Might want to go to new website where they show a painless removal of a bump with a dental laser. The website was just announced today and is Lasercast.biolase.net and the thing on there is "Fibroma Removal with the Waterlase MD"
