How To Remove Genieo?

How to remove braces myself????

  • I was told that I would only need to wear braces for a 1 1/2 years. It's been 3 almost 4 years. As of a year ago, my braces have been completely paid for. After my second year, my teeth became perfectly straight. I have not seen any changes from year 2 to now. &I know this might sound dumb to some, but my braces has really lowered my self esteem, I already suffer from depression, and I feel like it gets worse after every orthodontic appointment. My parents have scheduled 2 meetings with my orthodontist. The first one they scheduled was a few months ago, and they said they understood and that they'd remove them on my next appointment. During that next appointment, they did not remove them. My parents scheduled another appointment and my orthodontist says that he's not going to remove them til after spring, and that he has no reason to remove them now. Here are my concerns.. 1. For over a year i've been having pain on one side of my mouth. My DENTIST took xrays but could not see what he needed to because the braces blocked the xray shots. The pain is getting worse, and my dentist can't do anything until the braces are off. 2. My orthodontist puts a metal wire on the back of my bottom teeth as a retainer. If i remove them myself, I can't give myself a retainer. 3. I have a band around one of my teeth, and I absolutely can not remove that myself. Please tell me what I should do, or how I can remove my braces myself??

  • Answer:

well, one time i was eating custard with a tea spoon and I accidentally got the spoon caught under the brace, and the bracket pinged off. I assume, if you take all the little bands over the bracket and wire off, and then take the wire out with tweezers, you could get the brackets off one by one, in the ortho they just clamp it with a little tool and pull, it's painless. if you did take your braces off yourself, the truth is you probably couldn't get the rings round your molars off, and your teeth would go back to how they were before. next ortho just ask how long it is before they get taken off?

Don't remove them your self, there is cemente on them, and they won't budge, I've had braces, and you have to have a retainer, or your teeth with shift back to their normal place...I would get a new orthodontist.

Find a new orthodontist. This guy sounds like a dumb jackass.
