Is being a dental hygienist a good job?

Can you get a job as a dental hygienist by getting your education at a community college? -_-;?

• I am attending a community college this upcoming fall as a 19 year old mom and I want to better my life by getting a good education and obtaining a good paying job that I love. I wasn't a bright student in HS and I am wanting to start all over and give my baby a better life in the future by getting a good job. I heard dental hygienist takes.. 2-3 years for an education and it's a good job for women. If I try my best and get a high GPA at the community college, would I be able to get a good job in a dental office as a dental hygienist after my studies? My husband doesn't have a good job and I am the one who can get a good job since I speak fluent english and my native language as well. Please suggest any advice you have for me. I know a lot of 19year old teen moms throw away all their responsibilities and leave their baby up for adoption, but i'd rather take responsibility for my child and the husband I married, even if it is a hard life for me. Like I said, any advice would help :)

  Dental hygienists do earn a good wage, can work flexible hours. You will need to get good grades and get into dental school, work hard and pass some pretty tough exams. If your husband doesn't want work and look after you and your baby, then I am sorry to say you are probably better off without him- you sound like a nice girl with a bright future, don't waste it with a loser.
