Jaw pain from piercing. Is it ok?

Over a week, severe wisdom teeth pain and jaw discomfort?

• My dentist forgot to pull all of my teeth the first time, so I had to get surgery twice, the first was a bony compaction on my bottom (i only had one wisdom tooth on the bottom) last friday (8 days ago) and the two top ones on monday (5 days ago) My bottom one had a slight dry socket and infection, dentist fixed it monday while i was under (dont know what he did to fix it. Also, when i woke from anesthetic my bottom jaw was in severe pain, even with the numbing, I dont trust my dentist) I'm still having severe pain in my bottom extraction sight that extends into my head, I feel ok to eat, the pain is in my jaw/skull, and I have an odd twinge kind of feeling, like my nerve isnt right, it's not numb exactly, but theres a nerve issue. is this normal, what can I do to help?? I rinse thoroughly after every meal to keep food out of the holes, I just cant keep deciding between being in pain or being stupified by the pain medication (which only softens the pain, Im on 500mg hydrocodone.) Also: I have a distrust of my dentist from his prior mistakes and lack of caring to communicate with me. I've called before about the headaches, and the lady rudely made a remark saying she wishes I were special but its all normal. I really dont want to call them again. please help?? Also, if you dont have an answer please dont post, I think other people who may be able to help assume its been answered if theres a reply.

  It sounds like you have had a bad time at the dentist over the past week........Okay hope i can help- The lower wisdom teeth are usually the most difficult to come out, also cause the most pain after extraction due to the blood supply being less than the upper jaw this is why often dry sockets occur, a dry socket is more common on the lower jaw and if the tooth was difficult to come out. Normal healing time for one wisdom tooth is 7 days, in this time stiffness in the jaw is normal, pain, swelling, bleeding and facial bruising is expected so if you have more then one out you must take this into account and mulitply it by 4. A dry socket sets back your healing process by around 4 days in addition to this. Soft foods are the key as you must eat if taking pain relief. Hydrocodone is an opiod and should only be used now and again to get a sleep if other pain relief is not effective. You havent said if you are taking other meds but you MUST take a Paracetamol (pain) based product AND an Iburpfen based product (inflammation) AND your 500mg Hydrocodone (sleep) Headaches are very common as the jaw muscles have been stretched and moved during the extractions therefore they will spasm as they try to mend, this is painful and often the worst pain patients say to me, it can take weeks for the jaw to recover. Pain and sensitivity is common on teeth left behind as the tooth beside it has been removed and they are left standing alone as such....... Shifting will not happen as yet as this takes months however it can feel very very odd in there.
