Why are our teeth temperature sensitive?

Can eating really hot (high temperature) food damage teeth ?

  • i ate some really hot food and i got a tooth ache and it even damaged the root, im still nt sure if mt tooth got damaged because of the hot food or if its sumthing else... bt can hot fod really damage ur teeth ???

  • Answer:

I am not sure if having a very hot soup can exactly damage your tooth but it can definitely give you a toothache. When your tooth feels an extreme temperature it can hurt your pulp where nerve endings and blood supply is found. Your pulp is connected to your root as well so it can also feel pain. You probably have sensitive teeth. They have remedies that may help you feel better at your local pharmacy. The only way to know if you actually damaged your tooth is to see a dentist. Hope I helped!!

i believe so. it can burn your gums around your teeth, and the temperature can wear down your teeth faster.
