Why do dentists make so much?

How is it dentists make the effort to remind their patients when it's time to?

  • come in for their regular check ups, but our family physicians don't? Don't regular doctors care as much for our health as do dentists? I'm curious.... if anyone else ever considered this question...

    Hello..The real answer to your question is this...Dentist don't have the guaranteed number of patients who want appointments as the Medical Doctors do. MD's only remind you when you already have a set appointment..If you don't make a followup appointment they have enough patients that they don't feel they have to remind you....Dentist on the other hand don't see 30 to 40 patients a day and have more waiting to get an appointment....It's a simple matter of economics...do the math. Besides, an MD sees you for maybe ten minutes and collects the same fee the dentist gets if he spends an hour with you....again...do the math. The Denture Pro.

I considered this and i conclude all dentists are money grabbing fiends where as doctors know when you really need help you will go to them i hat dentists i spent £3000 last year for hardly anything to be done the doctor charged me nothing
