White spot on back of throat?

Sore throat. white spot on back of throat and tongue?

  • HELP! my throat feels like its swole and it kinda hurts to swollow. i hav a white bump on the flap in the back of my throat and a yellowish white spot on my tongue. what may this be??

it may mean you have an oral yeast infection,or some other infection you need to seek medical attention. in the mean time rinse with warm salt water, this will relieve some of the discomfort.avoid acidic and spicy foods these will irritate your throat.i hope you feel better soon.

I dont know what its called but I have had this, it was actually particles of food that didnt swallow all the way and would irritate my throat too. From sitting in your throat for a few days it turns whitish yellow color. So I was told to scrape them off with a q-tip or something. Then it started feeling better

That's most likely strep throat. Its a very contagious, airborne illness and can be cured with an antibiotic from your doctor. Other symptoms of it is a fever and runny/stuffy nose like a cold.
