Do I need to remove wisdom teeth?

Can wisdom teeth coming in cause pain in ALL of your teeth, and do I truly need to get them removed?

  • I went to the dentist today because of on and off pain I've been having in random teeth all over my mouth, as well as constant pain in my two bottom front teeth. It almost feels like there's something stuck between them - it's a very achy feeling. My gums and teeth looked perfect - no cavities. I got a cleaning too. They couldn't find a reason for the pain, but they said it MIGHT be because of my wisdom teeth. They're apparently impacted, and I was told I had to get them out. My first question is, can wisdom teeth coming in cause pain in front teeth? Wouldn't the pain just be in the back? I'm getting headaches as well as facial (sinus) pain and pain in the bottom jaw/chin area (pain in the glands?). However, as I also have a TOOOON of draining I think I have a sinus infection (I get them a lot). Secondly, I've heard some people say that dentists tell everyone they need their wisdom teeth removed, and that often you really don't. Any truth to this? My dad still has his... ???

  • Answer:

i had to have my wisdom teeth taken out because they were coming in side ways. the last i had to have cut out last month. it was coming in under the tooth in front of it and broke it. yes, they can cause all sorts of mouth pain.
