How do they take off braces?

How many weeks/months will it take for me to get braces?

  • okay well i had an appointment today with the orthadontist and she took x-rays and all that then i have another one on monday where she said she'll talk to me about treatment plan and all that, but how long after that will it be before i actually have the braces put on? will it be before christmas? (i think im having train tracks, if that makes a difference?) also if i get train tracks top and bottom will they be really obvious when i close my mouth? how long do people gererally have braces on for? and finally i have a gap in my two top teeth, will the gap be more or less noticable with braces? and how long will it take for the gap to close? thanks so much! :D

    As far as when they will be put on and for how long that is completely up to your orthodontist. And when you close your mouth the braces are not obvious at all and don't worry about them its normal to have braces these days, the gaps in your teeth will be corrected and the overall time your braces will be on depends on the severity of your teeth problem. I suggest you ask your orthodontist these questions next time you see him =) Good luck and be safe!

it should be around a month , so im sure it will be before christmas, and i think your gap will be less noticable with the braces and when you smile people will be looking more at your braces then your teeth, people usually have them on for 2 years. The gap could close within a few months and you'll prob notice a difference within a month. :)
