How can I get the swelling in my mouth to go down?

I had an infection in my tooth. The dentist put me on 500mg of amox. 4x a day for 1 week then hes going to pull it. But yesterday when i went in to the dentist my face was pretty bad and real swollen now Ive been on amox. for about 24 hrs and when I woke up it was worse huge black eye and everything. I look like someone shoved a tennis ball in my cheek. I have a job interview today in 6 hrs and a softball game in 12 is there anyway to reduce the swelling and on top of all this I really want to play softball my new b.f. is on the team , but I dont want to go there looking like this. I already have social anxiety if i dont get this swelling down I will not leave the house for days. Ill try anything!!!

no you can't, best thing to try is taking care of these things before they get to this point next time. This tooth needs to come out however if the swelling is large and is spreading to around your eye this needs to be addressed TODAY. If the swelling is hard its a cellulitis and the body needs to heal that. If the swelling is soft its a abscess and it may be able to be drained however you need attention RIGHT NOW, you will have to miss your plans today because this could kill you and/or cause you to go blind
