How can I turn an image into a wordpress site?

I'm not a website developer at all, but I've just been handed the task of making a "simple" website for a project at work. Basically, an artist has passed on a hi res JPEG- which is EXACTLY how he wants/needs the site to appear. It consists of a (fairly large) header image along the top , then a "main section" in the middle, and a footer with hand drawn links to the seperate pages. I'm going around in circles with this- it's a really simple concept, I just can't work out the best way to approach it. I guess I need to splice the image into parts? Maybe Image Map the footer links? It has to be in wordpress too- I'm not sure how to insert image maps correctly here. As I said I'm not a web developer, but I''m not a complete n00b, and have made several other wordpress sites before. I just have had to make something EXACTLY as the image I'm presented with... Anyway, I'm super tired and I have just over 24 hours to get this done, before the "product" is launched. If anyone has any advice I would love you forever, maybe I can post you some promo stuff from work in return. (Do I sound desperate yet? Give it another 12 hours!!!) Well, hate to tell ya, but you're going to have to tell your boss that it's not quite the simple concept you think it is. (I'm going on the assumption here that you've never made a wordpress theme, ok?) First, you need to have excellent knowledge of wordpress to make the theme. Not page. It's a theme, several pages are involved. You need to have an understanding of how wordpress works. You need to know, at the very least, html and css. You need to know some php. Don't have to be an expert, but you need to be able to work with it enough to not break stuff. I promise you, you will break stuff. That said, here are some links.
