What do you think/feel when you see a great hand followed by a great flop in poker?

  • What do you think/feel when you see a great hand followed by a great flop in poker? I have played poker for a while now. When I see a good hand, and an amazing flop i stare at the flop, and think it is really beautiful... it is amazing you know... i have had so many bad cards, so many bad flops, that when a good combination comes up, it feels like magic. 8J- Flop: 7-9-10... 57- Flop: 5-5-7... 88- Flop: 8-J-A-4-4 KK- Flop: 7-3-A-8-K 72- Flop: 2-2-9-10-5 K8(Spades): A(S)-10(S)- 4(S) I have hit quads only one time... 7777. The most heartbreaking loss I have ever had: AA vs 55. I raise preflop, $100, guy calls. I have Pocket Aces... I raised so much cuz I don't like aces. My favorite card is the Jack, oddly enough. We both went all in eventually. Flop: K5K...8-10 Do you have any stories? What do you feel when you finally get that great hand in poker?

You are singing a song. It's loud and clear. Loosely translated, it goes like this: "Hee Haw". Sorry man, but it's true.

AA loses to 55 pre flop about 20% of the time... if that's your worst loss, you haven't been playing very long. 57 with a 5-5-7 flop is a funny feeling, but you aren't going to get paid a lot of the time. Probably rather see 5-5-A so you can double up on the people that have AK and AQ. I'll assume you need more experience if you just stare at the flop in awe. Hopefully this is on-line so everyone can't obviously tell you hit huge.

I don't feel anything unless I'm winning a big pot out of it.. been so many times when I've had great hands and great flops, and have won hardly anything.

you win some, you lose some, no point wasting too much brain cell energy on it.

On line staring at the flop and "absorbing " it is cool.. If your playing live? Be looking around the table and see who is gloating over that flop.. I've been playing a long time and have seen lots.. Prob. the biggest hand I have seen was on TV where that dude rivered quad aces and got beat by a Royal Flush. Year before last WSOP Main event. What a way to get knocked out of the turny.. Quad Aces.. To bad there wasn't a bad beat pot. Just to comment on pocket Aces.. They get cracked all the time.. Especially when I'm holding 'em.
