How to Kickover Every Time In My Backbend Kickover?

  • I learned my Backbend Kickover around 2 months ago because I had to learn it for my dance class. But now, I can never do it on my first try! I kick and I land back down so I have to kick again. On February 18th, I have my first dance competition and I'm SO nervous! I'm afraid I'll kick and I won't be able to do it in front of all those people and the judges! (Yes, I practice) but it's just not working. It worked a little bit but not that much. I still have a problem kicking over on my first try! Can anyone please help me on how I can Kick-over every single time I kick please? If you do, I appreciate it! :) ♥

    Try this: If you're a rightie, Lift your right leg first, then kick up and bend your stomach in so that your right leg flips over and your left leg will follow, and if you're a leftie do the same thing only start with your left leg Hope I could help, this is what I do when I'm in my acrobatics class and doing my backbend kickover :D
