What should I wear to an indoor Jazz Festival?

Modern/Jazz class. What type of shoe should I wear?

  • I take a modern/jazz class every Monday and need a different kind of footwear for it. I tried wearing my ballet slippers and ended up sliding all over the place. I know some girls have the jazz shoes and others use ballet slippers but what would be good footwear for this class? I've seen the foot undeez as well as jazz shoes.

    I would personally recommend the Pedini shoe by Capezio. It's very versatile, and looks beautiful on the arch of the foot. I will warn you, though, that modern is traditionally danced barefoot.

I'd go with a foot undeez. I've taken both modern and jazz classes myself. In my modern class I was barefoot (it was traditional modern dance) and in my jazz class I always wore foot undezz.
