I need to find black ballet pointe shoes?

  • So, I've recently moved to Utah and my black pointe shoes were lost in the move. I've recently signed up for ballet classes here and was just accepted for a musical which involves ballet dancers. They wish us to have black pointe shoes for costume purposes but mine were lost in the move and I haven't got a clue where to find pointe shoes--especially of that color--around here. I live in Draper, UT. Please, if anyone knows where I can find some black pointe shoes relatively close to Draper or Sandy, let me know. Thanks and much appreciated, Christine.

    Hi! You can just get regular pointe shoes, and then use a sharpie to make them black! It looks fine and thats usually what people to do get colored pointe shoes :) Freed and grishko sell black pointe shoes online though.

Hiii!! Yeah, you could use a sharpie and color them in black but i suggest not doing that because the shapie can get all over if they are not completely dry.....u xan spary paint them and wait at leat 24 hours before touching them You can also go to a dance store like Dancin 1 dancin t stardancewear or any dance store near you and ask them whats the best way to do it!!!! good luck:)

You can order them if you already know your size, some companies do make them. However, if you have a crunch for time, you can dye them with fabric dye (buy at a craft store, follow instructions) or get a felt tipped pen like a sharpie and color them I hope this helps and good luck :)

I have no idea why you would try to use a sharpie on those. Grishko makes pointe shoes in black and many other colors http://www.grishko.com/color.cfm. They have to be ordered, so make sure you are experienced and know what you need in terms of shank, vamp, etc.
