My cow has hiccups. Should I give heimlich maneuver?

  You might make his hiccups stop by pressing gently but firmly on his diaphragm. No heimlich maneuver, or you might rupture something. Just wrap your arms around him (if he's not too big) and press gently at the base of his ribs while you talk to him quietly (so he won't freak out). Otherwise you might try getting him to drink water, as it could be something in his intestines that is pressing on his stomach and giving him the hiccups.
