Lobster claw taste different?

  • I was eating lobster salad at an upscale French restaurant that I've eaten at before and have had no problems with. The restaurant gets a nice crowd in my town (the people are hard to please here), so I figure the lobster meat must be a decent quality, and the salad is priced at $22. I've had lobster at least a dozen times before, but infrequently enough where I don't have a perfect memory of what it tasted like every time I had it.. Anyway, this was a cold lobster salad, and it seemed like there were different parts of the lobster in it. I ate what I think looked like the pincher claw, and it had a REALLY fishy, distinct, seafood taste.. The other chunks of lobster in there mostly looked like they were from the body cavity, and tasted more meaty and chewy and had less of a strong taste. I'm just wondering, for those of you who know Lobster, do different parts of the Lobster have a very different taste, and does this sound normal? Thanks

DEAR I CRAZY, I would love to punch you in your face your annoying and why would you hit reply on an answer if you don't know it??? Shut up and get off of yahoo answers! And yes david every part of the lobsters body have diff taste some prefer the legs I personally like the body I think its more tasty and less fishy hope I helped and sorry about my previous rant but for the person who said "don't know" he posted it on my question!

well no the whole lobster should taste the same, they probably mixed some old in with the fresh and you should complain. don't know if you'll get sick though, sorry :(
