How do I become a DJ?

How Can I Become A Professional DJ?

  • Hey guys, basically my whole life music has inspired me and I have decided the only career I want to follow is within the music industry. My favourite genres are Trance, Techno and Electronic. My favourite DJ's include the likes of Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyke. All these DJ's have made a living out of doing what they love, but the thing is, I have no clue to how I can go about becoming a DJ, If anyone knows how I can alteast get started on making a career out of becoming a professional DJ can you please share it with me. Thanks P.S I have no DJ equipment yet.

  • Answer:

You have to have 3rd class F.C.C. license. You might get to get a 1st class, that's all the engineering you will need to work around and on Radio, T.V., even with the F.A.A. Control Tower and stuff like that. Third class is for talking on the Radio or Tvv and goes on to 2nd to 1st, so you can work with the FCC, It's mandatory; the license.
