What's vans warped tour?

  • So my friend invited me to this.. And I'm not even really sure what it is..? Haha kinda embarrassing. Like I get it's different bands playing.. But whats it like? Any other info you can give me?:) thanks!

    Its an all day music/ extreme sports festival. It has a lot of bands that play at about 7 or more stages. Bands range from punk to alternative to post hardcore and other genres of music. (Most of the bands are not very well known. More of the smaller band scene.) There are also a lot of tents set up so you can go buy band merch and stuff like that. It's a lot of fun! Though it gets tiring from all the walking around and the heat. Prices for food are outrageous. A lot of people show up! Its from about 11am til about 8:30pm- 9pm. It's a lot of fun!! You can watch some really good music and meet some really cool people. I would say that you should go. Though make sure that you like the music there. Band that are on this year's tour; Go Radio(One of my faves.), Every Avenue, The Dangerous Summer, The Ready Set, A Day To Remember, 3OH!3, Stephen Jerzak, Black Veil Brides.(Though they're not playing all dates due to Andy Six injuring himself.) Asking Alexandria, The Wonder Years, Street Dogs, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows. Blood On The Dance Floor. and many, many, many more. (: Check out your date to see the complete list of bands! The Warped Tour is an extreme sports/concert series that occurs every summer. It started as a punk show, but soon diversified to other bands. That's all I know off the top of my head, but I pulled up a couple of sites to check out.

If you don't like any of the bands going I suggest not going! I went twice and it was a lot of fun. But it's a lot of walking around and standing in crowds and if you don't enjoy the music that is being played you're not going to have fun.
