How do I erase songs from my iTouch?

Ipod Touch question PLEASE HELP!?

  • I bought the Itouch 3G about 3 months ago. But now, I want to sell it and buy the 4G. I have bought songs, apps and other things from my itouch and haven't synced my ipod onto my itunes account since. I was just wondering, will itunes erase all my songs off my itouch if I sync it onto my itunes account? I need to sync it so i can have all that data for my 4G... So, will I be okay to sync it and still keep the songs i bought from my ipod?

  • Answer:

    Yes, you should sync it.

I think when you plug the ipod in it will give you the option to transfer your purchased material onto your computer.

If you've bought them on your iTunes account, and you sync it, everything on there will go to the computer (Unless it's a new computer, in which case it will delete everything) But you will be fine syncing your iPod to iTunes, as long as it's the same one, it'll all copy and transfer it automatically..

sync it.

Nope, syncing the iPod to iTunes keep the data on both. Normally, nothing will be permanently erased without your permission from iTunes. Usually, there is a setting involved where iTunes will automatically sync any new songs/movies/apps to your device. If that does not occur when you plug it in, do it manually. All of the data will already be (and will always stay) on iTunes.
