What are the requirements to become a Commercial Airline Pilot?

Clear Guide on Becoming an Airline Pilot?

  • Hi, I want to become an airline pilot, it's my dream and I've done research on the Internet, but instead of helping me it's confusing me... Could some explain to me how to reach the requirements in order to work in an airline? What licenses do I need? What will be the total cost? What degree should I have? I kind of need a "tutorial" on reaching my dream job. Thanks!

  • Answer:

I am an Aeronautical Engineer finished last April. Airline Piloting is a nice career option to start with. But you must be ready to dedicate yourselves fully into it. Why I am saying this is, Piloting is concerned with huge lives and money. No spaces for excuses. All I want to remind you is, don't think like if you join in a Flight School, you are a pilot. You need a huge some of Flying Hours to get Commercial Pilot Licenses. Look for a trusted Flight School around your area. Get the phone numbers and have a talk with them. Choose the one who will make your dreams realize. But aware of scam schools too. After the completion of course, you have just 250 hours of flying which is not worth, Join as a Flight Instructor in any of the flight school then. Make some money and in the mean while increase your flying hours. Normally big companies recruit people who have more than 2500 flying hours for Passenger Aircraft. Hope this help you buddy,
