Architecture portfolio? HELP?

Need Help with Degrees of Architecture?!?

  • Ok, so I'm trying to decide which college to go. I am a sophomore in high school, so I need help choosing which school of architecture to go to. I have high GPA and I'll probably ace the SAT and ACT, and i'm pretty well rounded with regards to after school activities and community service. My portfolio is about halfway complete right now. When I go to my chosen school of architecture, I need to decide what degree I'll be getting. I want to have a dual major of Architecture and Structural Engineering, if that complicates things. I have heard of degrees like a B.S. Arch, a B. Arch, and an M. Arch I and II. I have no clue what these mean --> I simply want to design homes and/or large scale buildings of the modern/contemporary style. Thank you, 10 pts for best answer.

This is an interesting question. I would recommend you to take SAT and ACT to be sure. You can never know what you need for the application nowadays. Now for what you'd like to have as your future education place. If you want to design homes or large scale buildings you need to choose something like the universities given here http://archrecord.construction.com/features/0911BestArchSchools/0911BestArchSchools-1.asp i would like to tell you that it can cost lots of money to lean in such a university, but if you have money to spare you'll be able to become a great architect.
