What is the likely hood of getting into Pharmacy or Dentistry School?

• Your Open QuestionShow me another » What are the Pre-REQs for Dental & Pharmacy school? I have a friend who was initially a Business major, but he switched to Bio (Medical field). However, his first year of undergrad, his father passed away and his GPA was a bit slumpy. His GPA right now is 3.2. He picked things up his sophomore year, and after switching majors, an extra year was added onto his undergrad (4 to 5 years of undergrad now). He is debating between Pharmacist and Dentistry, but applying to both to see where accepts him. He has done around 50 hours of volunteering at a Dentist's office so far and plans to do more and intern over summer. What are his chances of getting in if he raises his GPA up the next three years, does more volunteering, joins clubs? Thanks-
