How important is it to take chemistry in high school?

Can i take an online coarse of chemistry for high school credits?

• or can i got to a community college to take a chemistry coarse for credits because i failed the first have and they dont have chemistry at my school because of budget cuts

  Community college is the better choice. Many "online" courses are not accepted for graduation by school systems, but there is usually no problem about recognition for the community college credits. Be sure you know how the credits will apply (Are you using them to "make up" for the failure of the first half of the chemistry course? Do you expect to use them to finish the course and apply the credits to graduation? Do you plan to take the second half of the course in high school, will you finish the second half at the community college, or will you take only the first half? All of these things matter!!!), and check with your guidance counselor to be sure you don't put a lot of time and money into an effort which will not pay off.
