Are we allowed to choose which high school we go to?

ok well i live in oxon hill maryland and the school closest to me is oxon hill high school.....but i dont want to go there i want to go to a school a little farther friendly high school....so am i allowed to go to friendly or will they force me to go to oxon hill high >_<

Answer:
You probably would have low priority over kids who live in that area of the highschool to enroll. Maybe they can let you in with a permit. Some schools require permits others don't, you would have to ask.
