Online college general education classes?

Don't try the online route. Online courses are not well accepted. The reasons are obvious. Someone could hire an impostor to take the class, yet still get credit for the work the impostor did. The school has no way of knowing who is at the computer. Is it the student, an impostor, or both at the same time? Don't waste your time or money on an online class. As another post mentions, try a public community college or state university. Avoid ANY online-only school or ANY for-profit school. You may still be able to get into a blended class where you can study online, but all tests or lab work are handled by actual classroom attendance. A photo I.D. is required to enter the classroom. This helps prevent students cheating by hiring an impostor. Blended classes are also more accepted for transfer. There is a growing trend among well respected colleges to code transcripts or degrees to indicate whether the program was online, blended, or actual classroom based. No online program can be as good as the learning experience and personal interaction of actual classroom attendance.
